About Lori Cannon
Lori Ann Cannon, CPA, received her CPA certification in 1985. In January of 1986, she began her career in public accounting with an audit for the City of Sherman. Since then, she has audited and advised for many municipalities in the North Texas area. Her experience includes Texoma Council of Governments, Greater Texoma Utility Authority, Texoma Workforce Commission, several cities in the area, and other not-for-profit entities. For a short time, she worked on “the other side of the equation” by being a controller for a large non-profit entity in Oklahoma that managed several grants such as transportation, head start, community service block grants, retired senior volunteer program, and others. Her experience in governmental and not-for-profit accounting and auditing is extensive and widespread through the various cities and agencies she has served throughout her career. Her goal is to offer affordable accounting, consulting and/or auditing services to Cities of all sizes, but especially smaller cities with tight budgets, while offering “large firm” service, experience and technical assistance.
