Featured Speaker

Dr. Larry Whitfield, Endocrinologist, Member of American Diabetes Association

Diabetes (our pancreas either produces too little insulin or none at all) can usually be effectively managed when diagnosed and treated early. However, when left untreated, diabetes can lead to potential complications that include heart disease and stroke.

The longer diabetes goes untreated, the more risk that high blood sugar can affect various cells and organs in the body with complications of kidney damage, often leading to dialysis and eye damage which could result in blindness. Discover what we all need to know about diabetes in this free educational series presented by Texas A & M AgriLife, WNJ Regional Medical Center, and TCOG/AAA.
