The Aging & Disability Resource Center of Texoma along with Texas Health & Human Services and The Learning Community invite you to attend this FREE two-day training on Person-Centered Thinking – Important TO, Important FOR, and the Balance Between

Person-centered thinking is a set of values, skills and tools used in Person-Centered Planning and in the personalization of services used by people who need supports provided by social or healthcare. This training is especially relevant for all staff who interact with the people served on our community.

This FREE two-day training will cover:

Discovering what is important TO and what is important FOR a person, along with how to weigh all of the variables.

The roles of rituals and routines and what makes sense and what doesn’t: recording all perspectives.

Creating goals that help people get what is important to them while addressing what is important for them (e.g. safety).

The power of being listened to and the impact of having control.

Who should attend?

This training is designed for staff at all levels in an organization who interact with the people they serve as well as individuals who receive support and their loved ones, too.

Seating is limited – get registered today for this free training opportunity.
