Texoma Council of Governments is accepting applications for a part-time Ombudsman Specialist for the Area Agency on Aging of Texoma program. This position is responsible for visitation, casework and documentation for assisted-living facilities in Grayson County. Background Check, Conflict of Interest Screening and Certification is required. Training for Certification may be provided by the managing local ombudsman (MLO) that includes a 36-hour Certified Ombudsman Training Program for final certification by the Office of the State Ombudsman.
Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, social sciences, psychology, sociology, social work or a related field to the applicable program, plus at least one year relevant experience is preferred. Equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities for the position may be considered in lieu of degree.
