Bonham — Bonham police take delivery of new Ballistic Helmets from representatives of the Texoma Council of Governments (TCOG). The helmets were purchased with funding provided by the United States Department of Homeland Security. The grant is being managed by the Public Safety Division of TCOG.

C.J. Durbin-Higgins, Public Safety Program Manager, and Stephanie Davidson, Public Safety Planner, coordinated the project and delivered the helmets to the Bonham Police Department.

“We appreciate the efforts of Mrs. Durbin-Higgins and Mrs. Davidson in acquiring this funding through TCOG. We are extremely grateful in being recipients of these helmets which will enhance the safety of the Officers when they are involved in high stress, and potentially dangerous situations,” stated Chief Mike Bankston.
