The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has scheduled the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Workshop for fire departments and non-affiliated emergency medical service organizations. The AFG helps firefighters and other first responders obtain critically needed equipment, protective gear, emergency vehicles, communication equipment, training, and other resources needed to protect the public and emergency personnel from fire and related hazards.
This workshop will help potential applicants understand the purpose of the FY2012 AFG Program, changes since the FY2011, funding priorities, award evaluation, and a brief description of other AFG funding opportunities.
The workshop will be May 31, 2012 at 6:30pm in the Eisenhower Room (first floor) of Texoma Council of Governments, 1117 Gallagher Drive, Sherman, Texas 75090.
